Three Gardens and a Seaside

I have really lost my interest in blogging  lately, I haven’t blogged or kept up with the blogs I follow for 2 months. Sometimes life just gets in the way, busy job, a holiday in France and elderly parents.

I have had a week off work and feel I have got things sorted, the house as had a good clean and de-clutter and best of all my sewing room has had a good tidy and been re-organised.  I have a new table for sewing, an old teachers desk, which great for cutting out as well as for the sewing machine……

and a new set of filing drawers, for all my patterns

I made New Look 6354, View A, View B and View E.

Capture

View E   The skirt is a bit short, so I made bias binding for the hem,  think this skirt will only be worn in the garden or on holiday.

.View A    These trousers are so comfortable, its like wearing your Pj’s out in public.

Skirt

Red Spot Skirt – New Look 6106

I really fancied a skirt with pockets, and New Look 6106  seemed to fit the bill, although I was worried it might be a bit too A-line.

Pattern 6106

I am really drawn to fabric with spots lately

with Russian doll shirt, I bought these fabrics at the same time as part of my grand plan for a new co-ordinating wardrobe.

Also made  the same skirt in a polycotton from my stash.

Easter Sewing

New Look 6407 Shirt – 2nd version

Image

This is the 2nd version of this shirt, I purchased this  100% cotton fabric while on holiday in Cornwall last month.  I cut the sides a size bigger for a more relaxed shirt, not quite so fitted as the vintage sheet version.

Another outing for my vintage sheet………. I really enjoyed making this it was so easy and the instructions very clear.

I am even quite pleased with the zip, just needs a hook and eye.

I  also managed to cut out two skirts and make a phone case, so quite a productive Easter break!
