Corduroy Skirt

The thing I really enjoy about sewing clothes is the transformation from piece of fabric to completed garment that I can wear.

This simple skirt was made in 4 easy stages

Lovely pink corduroy fabric – ready for cutting

Sunday afternoon – cut out pieces before going to Birthday party- listening to afternoon play on radio

Waist facing with bias binding.

Monday evening – put waist facings together and finish with bias binding- listening to the Archers on radio

Tuesday evening– stitch in darts, zip and side seams- watching The Great British Bake Off

Wednesday evening – make bias binding, stitch on and hem – listening to Archers and Front Row on radio

Thursday – Skirt worn to work!   Sorry no photo of me wearing the skirt, will try and add one at the weekend, but I do hate having my photo taken!!
